Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tonia Leon has been writing poetry since she was a child. Her poetry reflects her many loves including: music, Mexico, trees, ecology, gardening, social justice, art and Citlatepetl, the snow
covered volcano of central Mexico. She has published poetry and prose in English and Spanish in the USA, Mexico, Colombia and Japan. She currently resides in Sunnyside, Queens.
Tonia’s first chapbook My Beloved Chaos was published in 2013.
